One of Joan Kohn’s wishes for the PAC was to offer our member artists a place to sell their work outside of the main gallery.  Joan was one of our 12 founders and was the driving force and the creative genius responsible in great part for the development of our visual arts programming. She also was an exceptional fiber artist.  Joan’s dream became a reality in November 2000 when the walls of the Executive Director’s alcove office were dedicated to showcase member artwork. For ten years, Visual Arts Team member, Barbara Slater, coordinated the sales gallery, which was fondly known as “The Alcove.” In 2011, after an extensive renovation and expansion project of the entire building, a new Gift Shop opened to offer numerous member artists the opportunity to sell their original art.
